A combat-focused post is queued. The plan is to separate what Unfrozen has actually shown — hex grid, stack-based units, sieges with destructible walls — from the educated guesses everyone is making about initiative (ATB vs strict speed order), morale and luck triggers, retaliation rules, and the possibility of new mechanics like flanking bonuses or terrain effects on the battlefield. We will be honest about which screenshots back which claims, and which "obvious" details are just HoMM3 muscle memory dressed up as analysis.
